Festival season is upon us, let's get ready for glamping!

Festival season is fast approaching, with this week the Isle of Wright festival going on and Glastonbury in ten days I'm starting to get festival fever. For those lucky enough to have a ticket to Glastonbury it's time to get serious about purchasing necessities i.e a tent, sleeping bag but for me it's also time to challenge my inner fashionista and put together my festival wear.

1. Firstly on the list is a fantastic cropped top from River Island. Printed T-shirts are everywhere this season and this playful Mickey and Minne Mouse print is a more playful take on this growing trend. And at the moment it's on sale for £8.00 it's an amazing bargain that's perfect wear for festivals like Glastonbury and V Festival.
2. Denim shorts have to be a must on any festival goers wardrobe and these stressed denim boyfriend shorts are inexpensive at £24.99, again from River Island.
3. Glastonbury is known to be a wet festival, last year we were lucky and no rain fell at all and the sun was glorious. But being England we can't always rely on the fact it's summer not to downpour so wellingtons are an essential part of your festival wear and what better wellies to have than Hunter ones. You can pick Hunters  up in most retail shops. I found a reasonable priced pair on uttingsoutdoors.co.uk for £45.99.
4. A thin jacket is a must, last years Glastonbury it was a God send to have a jacket when the sun was beaming on me all day just to cover up. Tassels are a huge trend right now with 60/70's fashion never being so chic. Topshop have a great tassel suede patches jacket for £50.00 and the colour means it will go with all your outfits as well.
5. A tent is clearly needed for a festival and what better one to have than a 3-4 man tent covered in sunflowers. In a field full of tents this will certainly stand out and priced at £39.99 it's a steal. You can pick this tent up at Funkyleisure.co.uk
6. As the festival, especially Glasto that lasts five days, goes on the prospect of flip flops isn't extremely appealing to me so this year I've opted for a limited edition high top converse in Union Jacket. With the Royal Wedding fever, the Union Jack has never been so fabulous and I for one am happy to show how patriotic I am with my footwear. The best prices for these trainers is ebay so happy bidding.
7. I'm really challenging my inner hippy at the moment and what could be better than not one but two peace rings in gold and sliver from Urban Outfitters. They are retailing at £10.00 for both and they will give a fresh hippy twist to any outfits and what better place to show peace and love than Glastonbury?
8. A hat is a must and this year I've gone from my usual trilby to a mini boater. This boater is from ASOS and with it's flower detailing it gives it a feminine feel and for £14.00 if the hat is trashed by the time you leave the festival, lets face it you won't be that dis hearted.
9. I love a good Maxi and this tie dyed one from Bird by Juicy Couture couldn't be more perfect for festival wear. This dress can be bought online from Net-a-porter costing £305.00 but with this Maxi you will certainly get your moneys worth.
10. Again I'm coming over all 70's chic for Glasto and this Primark flowerhead band is the best one on the high street and at £2.00 you'd be crazy not to invest in more than one colour.
11. Jumpsuits have become a wonderful addition to my day to day wear and this Marc by Marc Jacobs one is so perfect for summer with it's fun floral pattern it's really embracing the 70's vibe and it's retailing at £290 and you can pick it up from Net-a-porter.
12. This folk looking bag is a brilliant way to add an ethic vibe to your look, and it's certainly big enough to hold all the necessity for managing a festival. At £840 this One Vintage Macy bag is pricey but if you have the cash it's certainly worth a splash on.
13. Due to the unpredictability of English weather a Mac is a must. I bought this sequinned Mac last year and I love that it adds much needed glamour to my outfits when worn. Recommend customising plain macs with spray painted peace signs or a sown on corsages.
14. This necklace from Topshop hits two trends in one with a peace charm and feather feature. This will look great with Tees and dresses and is certainly eye catching and at £12.00 you can't go wrong.

Leave comments or tweet me your must haves for festival season, I can't wait.

Obviously will upload my Glastonbury images up here too with a rundown of all that went on.

It's all gone to fruit

A great workable new trend that has me enthralled this Spring/Summer certainly has to be the wearable and fun fruit patterns that have hit the stores. Stella McCartney was the visionary that has propelled fruit patterns to stardom with her current collection. As much as I love her dresses if the thought of spending £1,665 leaves your eyes watering, then your in luck because the high street have some great looks incorporating fruit.

The biggest bargain out there to get on this trend comes from Primark for £9.00 it is a steal. The dress is 100% cotton and has a great 50's elegant feel to it and I couldn't love this dress more. So much so I have it!

Another fantastic dresses with a great price tag comes from Yumi. This Pineapple dress is a great twist on the fruit trend this season as mostly your only see oranges and limes being used and for £40.00 and free delivery you can't go wrong.

Yumi also has, for those feeling apprehensive about challenging this trend pineapple shorts. Match this with brown wedges and a sheer shirt and beach hair for a great summer look, and for £25.00 they will be a great investment.

I'm certain that this trend will not be a one hit wonder, I'm confident we will see it evolve, particularly for brands next Spring/Summer collections and I for one can't wait!

As always let me know your thoughts.
